Upper School Athletics: Developing Versatility, Strengthening Competitors
Good Hope Country Day School athletes compete in the St. Croix Interscholastic Athletic Association in the elementary (grades 4-6), middle (grades 7-8), Junior Varsity (U16) and Varsity division (U19). Athletics play a crucial part in our school community. Each year roughly 47% of our 7th-12th grade students participate in a sport, learning the importance of teamwork, dedication, sportsmanship, and a large number, the sweet satisfaction of winning a championship after a long season of hard work.
Although we are a small school, the dedication and individual focus our coaches provide to our athletes is what sets us apart from the rest of the competition on the island.
The goal of our Athletic Program is to offer a diverse array of individual and team sports that go beyond the field, promoting fitness, instilling good sportsmanship and fostering a positive self-image. We strive to make these opportunities accessible to as many students as possible.
