As our Class of 2027 prepares for the exciting journey beyond graduation, GHCDS is helping students explore the many pathways to success!
Last week, our Senior College Prep class welcomed Mrs. Michelle Whyte from the Virgin Islands Department of Labor for an informative presentation about the “Next Move After High School” Initiative.
This initiative is designed to support Virgin Islands high school graduates as they transition into college and the workforce, connecting young people with internship and employment opportunities while exploring ways to provide additional support during their senior year.
Following the presentation, our seniors completed a survey, sharing their perspectives and helping the Department of Labor better understand the needs and aspirations of students preparing for their next chapter.
Experiences like these remind us that college and career readiness is about more than academics. It's about discovering opportunities, building connections, and preparing to take confident steps into the future.
A special thank you to Mrs. Michelle Whyte and the Virgin Islands Department of Labor for investing their time in our students and helping them envision the possibilities ahead!
