Our second-grade Panthers have been bee-sy investigating a very important question: Why do bees spend so much time buzzing around flowers?
As it turns out, these tiny creatures have a BIG job! While bees are collecting nectar and pollen for food, they're also helping plants grow and reproduce through a process called pollination.
But our young scientists didn't stop at discovering the answer. They put their newfound knowledge into action by designing and building their own models to demonstrate how animals transfer pollen from flower to flower!
And that's where the magic of our Cambridge International curriculum comes to life!
Rather than simply memorizing scientific facts, our Panthers are encouraged to ask questions, investigate, think critically, collaborate, and apply what they've learned. By creating and testing models, students develop a deeper understanding of the important relationships between living things and how even the smallest creatures contribute to healthy ecosystems.
From curious questions to creative solutions, our second graders are discovering that science isn't just something you read about in a bookâit's something you explore, experiment with, and experience!
Small scientists. BIG discoveries. That's Cambridge learning in action at GHCDS!
