As we move through the first weeks of the 2026–2027 school year, there is a renewed sense of energy, optimism, and purpose at Good Hope Country Day School. The Board of Trustees is pleased to share that we are building on this positive momentum with a clear focus on the opportunities ahead and a shared commitment to the long-term success of our school.
Recently, the Board participated in a productive planning retreat centered on establishing goals for our Head of School, strengthening philanthropic support, identifying priorities for campus improvements, and advancing strategies that will ensure the school's long-term financial sustainability. These discussions reflect our commitment to thoughtful planning, responsible stewardship, and continued investment in the exceptional educational experience that defines GHCDS. In partnership with Mr. Morgan, we are establishing clear priorities and translating our shared vision into meaningful action.
We are especially encouraged by the tremendous start Mr. Morgan has made as our Head of School. His genuine enthusiasm, thoughtful leadership, and active engagement with faculty, staff, students, parents, the Parents' Association, alumni, and the broader community have brought a renewed sense of connection and optimism to our campus. His energy and commitment are evident, and we are excited about the direction in which he is leading our school.
The partnership between the Board and the Head of School is strong, collaborative, and forward-looking. Together, we are focused on strengthening enrollment, expanding philanthropic support, ensuring financial sustainability, and continuing to enhance our campus and learning environment. These priorities are interconnected, and progress in each area will help position GHCDS for continued success in the years ahead.
As we look toward the future, we recognize that the strength of GHCDS has always been rooted in its people. Our dedicated faculty and staff, engaged families, talented students, supportive alumni, and generous community partners all play an essential role in making this school such a special place. We encourage our families to remain actively involved in their children's education, build strong partnerships with teachers and administrators, and take full advantage of the outstanding academic, athletic, artistic, and extracurricular opportunities that enrich the GHCDS experience.
There is much to celebrate, and even more to look forward to. Our faculty and administration continue to provide a safe, engaging, and inspiring environment where students are challenged to grow, explore their interests, and reach their full potential. The Board remains firmly committed to supporting this important work while ensuring that GHCDS continues to thrive as a strong, sustainable, and exceptional educational institution.
We are confident in our leadership, encouraged by the progress we are making, and excited about what lies ahead. With a shared vision, strong partnerships, and the continued engagement of our school community, we have every reason to look toward the future with optimism.
