Congratulations to Maya Prasad ’26 and Saidah Banwaree ’27 for their participation in an exciting, award-winning filmmaking project!
Verified, a film written, directed, and created by Virgin Islands high school students through Blue Tarp Productions’ youth filmmaking program, recently won Best Caribbean Film at the 2026 Urban Film Festival in Miami!
The summer program gives young Virgin Islanders hands-on experience in filmmaking while introducing them to careers in directing, producing, cinematography, and more.
We are so proud to see Maya and Saidah taking part in a project that celebrates VI talent, creativity, storytelling, and representation. Congratulations to them and to all the young filmmakers who helped bring Verified to life!
