Last week marked the official start of the SCIAA season, and our Panthers came out ready to compete! From the volleyball court to the flag football field, our student-athletes showed determination, teamwork, sportsmanship, and plenty of Panther Pride.
FLAG FOOTBALL
Our Middle School team begins the season 1–0 following a forfeit, while our Lower School Panthers battled hard in their season opener, finishing just one touchdown short. We’re proud of the effort, energy, and determination they brought to the field!
VOLLEYBALL
What a start for Panther Volleyball!
Our Middle School Girls opened the season 2–0, earning victories over Pearl B. Larsen and Church of God.
The Middle School Boys split their back-to-back matches against Pearl B. Larsen and begin the season 1–1.
Our JV Girls started strong with a victory over the Central High School Caribs, while the JV Boys also opened their season with a victory over Central!
But as always, Panther Athletics is about more than the final score. It’s about representing GHCDS with effort, teamwork, respect, resilience, and good sportsmanship every time we step onto the court or field.
Congratulations to all of our student-athletes and coaches on a fantastic opening week. The season is just getting started, and we can’t wait to see what’s ahead!
