From purple smoothies to rainbow sprinkles, our littlest Panthers have spent the past several weeks learning, tasting, creating, and celebrating their way through the colors of the rainbow! And on Monday, our Early Learning Center brought this beloved tradition to a close with one final fabulous celebration—PINK DAY!
Color Days are about so much more than learning to identify colors. Through hands-on activities, special snacks, art, stories, and plenty of imagination, our youngest learners have explored colors using all of their senses.
And there were some pretty delicious lessons along the way! On Purple Day, our Panthers blended up blueberry-banana smoothies. On Black & White Day, they made black bean dip and enjoyed it with chips. And Rainbow Day called for a particularly colorful celebration—vanilla ice cream topped with rainbow sprinkles!
But perhaps one of the most special parts of Color Days was watching the tradition spread far beyond the ELC classrooms. Faculty, staff, students, and alumni across campus joined the fun, showing up in the color of the day and reminding our littlest Panthers that their learning is something our whole community celebrates.
A very special THANK YOU to everyone who participated and helped make this year’s Color Days such a success. Seeing every age group get involved made each day that much more exciting for our youngest students.
From the first color to Monday’s final splash of pink, it has been a joyful reminder that at GHCDS, learning can be messy, delicious, creative, colorful—and something we do together.
