We’re PAW-sitively Thrilled to Welcome Carolyn Forno to Her New Role at GHCDS!
For Carolyn Forno, joining the GHCDS team as our new Director of Finance isn’t exactly an introduction—it’s more like the next chapter in a Panther story that has been unfolding for years!
A St. Croix resident for 32 years, Carolyn has dedicated her career to nonprofit organizations and social justice work. She spent more than 25 years with the Women’s Coalition of St. Croix, served five years as Director of VICARE, and brings more than eight years of nonprofit consulting experience.
Her professional expertise spans nonprofit financial management, program development, grant writing and management, strategic planning, and human resources—an impressive range of experience that will serve our school community well in her new role.
Carolyn holds an undergraduate degree in Theater from Emerson College and a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from Duke University. And that theater degree certainly hasn’t gone unused!
For the past five years, Carolyn has been a familiar face behind the scenes of the GHCDS Theater Program, lending countless hours and plenty of creativity to our productions—particularly in the costume department—and even stepping into a directing role last year.
Her Panther connections run even deeper. Carolyn is the proud mom of two GHCDS alumni from the Classes of 2023 and 2025, and her wife continues to give back to the school as a volunteer with our Buildings & Grounds Committee.
As Carolyn puts it, “It’s a family affair!” And we couldn’t agree more.
We are incredibly fortunate to welcome someone who already knows and cares so deeply about our school and island community—and who brings decades of nonprofit leadership and financial experience to this important role.
Carolyn, we’re PAW-sitively thrilled to officially welcome you to the GHCDS team as our Director of Finance!
