Panther Pride Beyond Our Campus!

One of the things that makes the GHCDS community so special is the many ways our faculty, staff, alumni, parents, students, and friends give their time and talents to organizations throughout the Virgin Islands.

We’re proud to see that spirit of service in action!

Good Hope Country Day School’s Cross Country & Track Coach and former CDS Spanish teacher, Theresa Harper, recently joined Second Grade teacher and GHCDS alumna Megan Lambert, along with fellow GHCDS alumnus and coach Firas Idheileh, in St. Thomas to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Virgin Islands Olympic Committee.

The milestone celebration recognized six decades of the Committee’s work supporting and developing Virgin Islands athletes and helping create opportunities for them to represent our territory on the global stage.

And our Panthers are helping make that work possible!

Theresa serves as Secretary of the Virgin Islands Triathlon Federation, while Megan serves as its Vice President. Firas continues his service to athletics through his work with the Virgin Islands Soccer Federation. Together, they represent just a few of the many members of our Panther community who volunteer their time, experience, leadership, and passion to strengthen organizations across our islands.

We are incredibly proud of the way our Panthers represent GHCDS beyond our gates—not simply by what they accomplish, but by how they show up, give back, lead, and create opportunities for others.

Their service is also a wonderful example for our students: being part of a community means finding ways to use your own talents to make that community stronger.

Once a Panther, always a Panther—and Panther Pride travels wherever our community serves!

Congratulations to the Virgin Islands Olympic Committee on 60 years of supporting Virgin Islands athletes, and thank you to Theresa, Megan, Firas, and all of the volunteers throughout our GHCDS community who continue to make a difference across the territory.
