Good Hope Country Day School Announces Historic Achievement by Class of 2026
Good Hope Country Day School (GHCDS) proudly announces that six members of the Class of 2026 have earned the Cambridge Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) Diploma, marking a historic milestone as the first students in the school’s history to achieve this prestigious international qualification.
Ayden Cintron, Allegra Ferreras, Kennedy James, Isabelle Langley, Anna Simon, and Israel Wyche are the inaugural AICE Diploma recipients at GHCDS, establishing a new academic tradition and creating a legacy that future generations of Cambridge students will build upon.
The AICE Diploma is a rigorous international qualification that requires students to demonstrate achievement across multiple academic disciplines, including humanities, world languages, mathematics, and science, while also completing a college-level research paper. For these AICE students, earning the diploma represents the culmination of 7 or more Cambridge examinations and the potential to earn more than 20 college credits.
“These Panthers have demonstrated what it means to persevere, adapt, and remain committed to a goal even when the path does not unfold exactly as planned. They are truly trailblazers for our Cambridge program and for the students who will follow them,” said Vanessa Velez, the Dean of Studies at GHCDS.
The inaugural diploma recipients exemplify the qualities GHCDS seeks to cultivate in its students: becoming reflective learners, confident individuals, innovative thinkers, responsible citizens, and engaged members of their community.
A New Chapter for Cambridge at GHCDS
The AICE Diploma achievement represents another significant milestone in GHCDS’s ongoing implementation of Cambridge International Education. The school has expanded its Cambridge offerings across grades K–12 and now provides students with opportunities to pursue rigorous international coursework and internationally recognized qualifications.
The Class of 2026 is the first graduating class at GHCDS to have the opportunity to complete the AICE Diploma pathway. GHCDS congratulates the AICE Diploma Recipients on this extraordinary accomplishment and celebrates the determination, resilience, and academic commitment that brought them to this historic moment.
They did not simply earn the first AICE Diplomas at GHCDS. They helped create the pathway for those who will come next.
