Building Community Through Service: Class of 2026 Partners with the Children’s Museum

Last week, the Class of 2026 took part in the GHCDS Community Enrichment Program, a student-led initiative focused on fostering community engagement and building meaningful partnerships across St. Croix.

As part of their work, the 12th grade partnered with the Children's Museum of St. Croix, an organization dedicated to fostering curiosity and meaningful learning experiences for children on the island. Reflecting on their own experiences, the class recognized the value of not only learning but also giving back by supporting younger students in the community.

To make an impact, students organized a morning bake sale, raising funds while also spreading awareness about the Museum’s welcoming, hands-on environment to families. This approach allowed them to both support the organization and highlight its role in the community.

Through this experience, students gained a deeper understanding of the Museum’s impact and the importance of fostering creativity, education, and connection among youth on St. Croix.

This project served as a meaningful conclusion to the Class of 2026’s journey in the Community Enrichment Program, reflecting their growth as leaders and their commitment to giving back.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Children's Museum of St. Croix and all community members who supported this initiative.
