Varsity Soccer
The GHCDS Panthers faced off against Central High School last Thursday at the USVI Soccer Stadium. It was a shutout game until just after halftime when junior striker, Yannic Elizee broke the Panthers' dry spell with a shot that found the back of the net. This was the spark that the Panthers needed as subsequent goals were quickly followed up by senior Omar Hamed and Bernhardt Simmonds IV, and lastly, sophomore Jedi Giordano. Senior goalkeeper Jayden DaCosta held the Caribs to 0 goals and secured the championship 4-0 victory. Congratulations to Coach Jacob Anderson and George Southwell, who guided the Panthers varsity soccer team to their second year as champions and another undefeated season.

Junior Varsity Soccer
The GHCDS Panthers played Church of God Holiness Academy last Friday, hoping to tie the bow on their undefeated season with a championship win. Riding on the coattails of the varsity team's victory the day before, the Panthers hit the scoreboard first just after halftime to make it 1-0. The Eagles quickly answered back, and the two teams went goal for goal until the score was 3-2 (Panthers lead). After a stop by goalkeeper Kenny Nguyen during a penalty shot, 8th grader Ridley Smith sealed the victory with a final goal, ending the game 4-2. Goals were also scored by freshman, Weston Wagner and Nico Hutchins. Congratulations to Coach Lishati Bailey on his second undefeated season with the Junior Varsity team!
