The Good Hope Country Day School Sailing Team is off to an exciting and high-energy start in 2026, with an impressive lineup of elite sailors and collegiate coaches sharing their expertise with our student-athletes.
On January 10, 2026, CDS'14 alumnus Mack Bryan—a two-time All-American skipper and two-time winner of the prestigious Wilson Trophy and the European Team Racing Championship—hosted an advanced collegiate fleet racing clinic for our sailors. His visit brought top-tier competitive insight and alumni inspiration to the team, raising the bar for performance and strategy on the water.
The momentum continues on January 17, as Roger Williams University Head Coach Amanda Callahan brings the Roger Williams Sailing Team, winners of the 2025 College Team Racing Championships, to St. Croix for winter training. As part of their visit, RWU will host a special clinic for GHCDS sailors, offering a rare opportunity to learn directly from a national championship program.
We are also thrilled to welcome Riley Read, former assistant coach of the Roger Williams Sailing Team and an accomplished dinghy and keelboat racer. From January 22 through February 20, Riley will lead clinics and practices while co-coaching the GHCDS Sailing Team alongside Coach Roxy and GHCDS'20 alumnus, Lucy Klempen, an All-American and All-Academic collegiate sailor. Together, this coaching team brings an exceptional blend of experience, mentorship, and competitive excellence.
With world-class coaching, collegiate connections, and alumni leadership, it’s an exciting time to be part of GHCDS sailing.
