In the Spotlight: GHCDS Board of Trustees - Alisha Udhwani

Alisha Udhwani is an Associate at Dudley Newman Feuerzeig LLP, where she practices litigation with a focus on personal injury defense and commercial and employment matters. She has called St. Croix home since the age of three and is a proud alumna of The Good Hope School.

After graduating from Good Hope, Ms. Udhwani earned her undergraduate degree from Agnes Scott College and her law degree from Washburn University School of Law, where she was recognized for her commitment to public service. Her legal career began upon her return to St. Croix, where she clerked for the Virgin Islands judiciary, served as an Assistant Attorney General, and later practiced insurance defense before joining her current firm.

In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Udhwani serves as a Trustee of Good Hope Country Day School and as Chair of the Standing Committee on Indigent Appointments, which established the Office of Conflict Counsel for the U.S. Virgin Islands. She is a former President of the Virgin Islands Bar Association and has received multiple President’s Awards for her leadership and service. Ms. Udhwani also remains actively involved in the arts through the Caribbean Community Theatre, where she has performed in productions such as Into the Woods and Guys and Dolls.
