Little Learners, Big Garden Adventures!
This week in the Little Learning Garden, our youngest Panthers rolled up their sleeves and dove into a delicious hands-on learning experience with Mrs. McPherson!
Students explored the basil plants they have been nurturing—smelling the fragrant leaves, touching their soft texture, and finally tasting the fresh herbs they harvested themselves. Their senses were fully engaged as they discovered how food grows and how amazing it feels to enjoy something you've tended with care.
The highlight of the day?
Making a batch of fresh, homemade pesto! Together, the children blended their harvested basil into a vibrant green sauce, watching their garden efforts transform into something tasty and nutritious.
From seed to snack, our little gardeners are learning that science, nature, and healthy eating all go hand in hand—and that the garden is full of magic when you look closely.
