Welcoming the first FIDE-rated STX Open Chess Tournament to our campus was truly a privilege. Seeing 61 players—from seasoned competitors to enthusiastic young beginners—fill our Pavilion with focus, camaraderie, and the joy of competition was nothing short of remarkable.
Moments like these remind us of the power of community partnerships and the importance of creating inclusive spaces where learners of all ages and abilities can grow and shine.
