This week, our Spanish 3 students stepped into the shoes of art critics and artists during a lively and creative activity!
Working in pairs, students explored famous artwork while practicing new vocabulary and descriptive phrases. One partner examined a painting or photograph and described it in rich detail—colors, shapes, emotions, textures—while the other, relying only on those descriptions, attempted to draw the artwork without ever seeing it.
The classroom buzzed with laughter, curiosity, and plenty of hilarious surprises as the “big reveal” drawings were compared to the originals.
Beyond the fun, this activity strengthened communication, sharpened listening and speaking skills, and encouraged students to think creatively and collaboratively—all in Spanish!
¡Excelente trabajo, artistas y narradores!
