Good Morning, Everyone,
In honor of Veterans Day, our 2nd and 3rd grade students have created a touching display of gratitude outside the front office — a field of bright red poppies surrounding a “Thank You, Veterans” American flag.
We invite our GHCDS community to take a moment to visit the display and add the names of your military loved ones—both veterans and active-duty members—to the poppy petals. Please include their branch of service so we can proudly recognize each individual’s contribution.
At 10:55 a.m., Maya Prasad ’26 will share a special reading of “In Flanders Fields” over the PA system. When she finishes, we will observe a moment of silence in recognition of all those who have served—and continue to serve—in our nation’s armed forces.
This moment of reflection and our student display together remind us of the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering service of those who protect our freedoms every day.
