A Special Announcement From the GHCDS Board of Trustees

November 4, 2025

Dear GHCDS Parents, Faculty, Staff, Students, Alumni, and the St. Croix Community,

The Good Hope Country Day School Board of Trustees is very pleased to announce that, following an extensive and thorough search process, Mr. Ali Morgan - a native son of St. Croix has accepted our invitation to serve as the next Head of GHCDS, effective July 1, 2026.

Mr. Morgan distinguished himself in each phase of the search process based on his well-established leadership experience, the commitment to excellence he brings to all areas of education and school operation, the endorsements he received from the Search Committee members, and recommendations we received from current and past colleagues. Ali received strong support from faculty, staff, parents and students who highlighted that he possesses the character and leadership qualities necessary to build on GHCDS’s strong foundation to ensure our mission flourishes for generations to come.

Ali is returning home to St. Croix after nearly two decades of serving as a teacher and administrator in the northeast. He graduated from The Good Hope School, before attending Southern Methodist University where he earned his BFA in Fine Arts/Theater. He then went on to complete his Masters of Science in Higher Education Administration at Bernard M. Baruch College (CUNY).

His career as an educator has spanned from PK-12 schools and post-secondary education. Most recently, he served on the administrative team at Rye Country Day School in Westchester County, New York. While there he had the opportunity to work with seasoned school leaders, and he takes from that experience a holistic approach to independent school operations.

What excites Ali the most about returning to St. Croix is the chance to give back to the school and the community that invested so much in him. “I see a chance to build on Good Hope Country Day School’s commitment to academic excellence and global citizenship, while also strengthening its role as a hub for community connection on St. Croix.”

Ali goes on to say, “At GHCDS, I see extraordinary opportunities to create a cohesive and enriching experience for students at every stage of their educational journey – celebrating their growth from early learners to young adults prepared to make a meaningful impact in the world.”

On behalf of every member of the Board of Trustees, we are so excited to have Mr. Morgan, with his wonderful enthusiasm, join and lead our school to great success.

Ali Morgan
