On Tuesday morning, our 1st–5th grade students had an incredible opportunity to train with professional coaches from CONCACAF (the Confederation of North, Central America, and Caribbean Association Football)! This special clinic was made possible through the generosity of Yohannes Worede and Firas Idheileh of the USVI Soccer Federation, as part of CONCACAF’s Bigger Game Academy Initiative.
Our Panthers spent the morning running skill drills, learning game fundamentals, and building teamwork under the guidance of professional coaches. The joy and excitement on the field were contagious as students practiced passing, dribbling, and scoring—all while having a fantastic time!
As an extra bonus, each student received their very own soccer ball, and GHCDS was gifted additional equipment to support our physical education and athletics programs.
A huge thank you to Coach Jacob Anderson for his help in coordinating this event and ensuring everything ran smoothly, and to the VI Soccer Federation and CONCACAF for bringing this unforgettable experience to our campus.
