Spooky Spirits Take Over the GHCDS Library!

Something boo-tiful is haunting the GHCDS Library this Halloween season — and our fifth graders are the creative culprits behind it!

Armed with scissors, imagination, and a pile of old books destined for disposal, our students gave new life to forgotten pages. They carefully cut, shaped, and designed ghostly silhouettes from the text-filled sheets, turning once-loved stories into spooky little spirits! Each ghost was then laminated and strategically tucked among the stacks, where they now float playfully between the shelves, surprising unsuspecting readers who dare to browse!

This creative upcycling project not only brought Halloween fun to the library but also showed our Panthers the value of repurposing and reimagining everyday materials. Now, the shelves whisper with more than just great stories… they’re home to a few friendly phantoms, too!
