After weeks of carefully watering, watching, and waiting, our Kindergarten Panthers finally enjoyed the fruits of their labor — harvesting their very first cucumber! Under the kind guidance of Christina McPherson, who generously volunteers her time in the garden, our little gardeners experienced the joy of pulling their first vegetable from the soil.
The excitement was contagious as the children tasted their harvest — some even asked for seconds! What an incredible hands-on learning experience, teaching patience, care, and the joy of growing your own food.
A heartfelt thank you to Christina for sharing her time and love of gardening with our students. Experiences like these help our youngest Panthers connect to the earth, to healthy habits, and to the pride of accomplishment.
