Our GHCDS 2nd graders joined millions of students around the world in celebrating International Dot Day on September 15—a day dedicated to creativity, courage, and collaboration.
Inspired by Peter H. Reynolds’ beloved book The Dot, students not only enjoyed the story but also had the incredible opportunity to connect virtually with Mr. Reynolds himself! His encouraging words reminded our young Panthers that each of them has the power to “make their mark” in their own unique way.
The celebration continued with joyful creativity as students designed their own beautiful, one-of-a-kind dots, all while singing along to The Dot Song. This activity encouraged them to celebrate their individuality, take pride in their voices, and inspire others with their creativity.
At GHCDS, we believe that every Panther’s mark matters—and our 2nd graders showed us just how bright and colorful their marks can be!
