At GHCDS, library time is anything but dull or quiet—thanks to the energy and creativity of our librarian, Ms. Alma. This week, students played a lively round of Library Charades, acting out book titles and their genres. The laughter and excitement filled the room as students learned about literature in a way that was both memorable and fun.
Beyond the games, library time is an essential part of a Panther’s education. Students practice the valuable skills of locating books, navigating genres, and understanding how the library is organized. These are the building blocks of independent research—skills that will serve them throughout their academic journeys and beyond.
By combining play with practice, Ms. Alma not only makes library science engaging, but also empowers students to see the library as a place of discovery, creativity, and curiosity. At GHCDS, our Panthers learn that the library isn’t just about finding information—it’s about unlocking worlds of knowledge and imagination.
