Our second graders beamed with pride on Wednesday as they hosted their Poetry Publishing Open House, welcoming special guests Ms. Thatcher, Ms. Canning, Ms. Mault, and students and teachers from 1st and 3rd grades.
These budding poets confidently shared their original creations—haikus, acrostics, conversation poems, riddles, limericks, and free verse—on topics ranging from everyday chores and favorite books to sharks, dinosaurs, and everything in between!
The event provided a joyful opportunity for students to practice public reading, engage with a supportive audience, and receive thoughtful feedback on sticky notes from guests who truly appreciated their work.
