GHCDS Wizard of Oz Cast Featured on WTJX-FM’s Analyze This

On May 2, 2025, the cast of The Wizard of Oz at Good Hope Country Day School was invited to appear as special guests on WTJX-FM 93.5’s popular radio talk show Analyze This. Host Jamila Russell, filling in for Neville James, welcomed the student performers to discuss their roles in the school’s spring production, running May 2–10 at the GHCDS Pavilion.

The spotlighted cast included:
Kalyani Walter-Sundaram as the Scarecrow
Tristan Samuel as the Tinman
Nico Forno D’Adamo as the Cowardly Lion
Amelie Figueroa as Dorothy

Jamila led a lively and insightful conversation, asking the students about their characters, their journeys into theater and the arts, and the transformative experience of being part of a full-scale production. The students expressed gratitude for their teachers' support during the demanding tech week and gave heartfelt recognition to their peers behind the scenes—students responsible for set design, lighting, sound, and all the technical elements that bring the magic of Oz to life.

Ms. Russell, an alumna of The Good Hope School, shared fond memories of her own performing arts experiences and emphasized the vital role the arts play in education and community building.

Head of School Bill Sinfield also joined the broadcast, congratulating the students on their outstanding work ethic and commitment. He reiterated GHCDS’s dedication to sustaining and enriching its arts programs, affirming that the performing arts remain a core pillar of the GHCDS student experience.

It was a morning filled with pride, passion, and Panther spirit!
