This week, our Pre-K scientists took a deep dive into the forces of nature, exploring the fascinating concept of wind!
Through hands-on discovery, students learned that wind is created when warm air rises and cool air falls. To observe wind in action, we took daily walks outside, where the children:
- Watched leaves, branches, clothing, and flags move with the breeze.
- Listened to the rustling sound of wind through the trees.
- Felt the cool air against their skin.
For a fun STEM experiment, the students crafted and flew paper airplanes, discovering that their planes traveled farther and faster when flying with the wind!
A wonderful week of curiosity, exploration, and hands-on learning—our young scientists are off to a soaring start!
