Computational Thinking & Programming in 4th Grade
At Good Hope Country Day School, our Cambridge curriculum is equipping 4th graders with the skills to become tomorrow’s computer programmers and UX designers!
This week, students dove into the fascinating world of artificial intelligence, learning its foundations by programming two characters to simulate chatbot interactions. They crafted engaging question-and-answer dialogues, bringing their digital creations to life and gaining hands-on experience with how AI works.
Additionally, students explored the roles of a software development team—project manager, programmer, user interface designer, and quality assurance tester. They discovered how these team members collaborate to create the apps we use every day, gaining a broader understanding of teamwork in tech.
These young innovators are building the skills today that will shape the technologies of tomorrow!
